These days Windows 7 is getting a lot of press and it is what most buyers of Netbook computers are looking for. In a previous post we pointed out that the the Windows 7 Starter Edition which is the version being sold on most new Netbooks is stripped down and may not be what you really want if you are buying a new Netbook.
A consideration in my opinion is to shop for a refurbished Netbook computer running the old reliable Windows XP operating system. I am suggesting this as a good alternative since there are several recent reports indicating that Netbook battery life is as much as an hour less running Windows 7 than when the same Netbook is running windows xP. An hour additional battery life may not be a big deal, but when you couple that with the fact that Windows XP is a very stable OS, it just might be the smart thing to do over the next six months or so. Many refurbished mini notebook computers under 300 dollars are available, and a DELL laptop refurbished is a good alternative. There are great selections of Refurbished Netbook Computers in our eBay selection.
Three good choices in either new or Refurbished Netbooks sold with Windows XP are:
Acer Aspire One AOD250-1924
Samsung N110-12PBK
Toshiba Mini NB-N310/BN
Keep these models in mind as you shop for a refurbished Netbook computer.
