Is the Netbook Computer a Laptop Computer?

I am going to withhold my opinion on the Netbook computer being classified as a laptop.  I guess in one sense the netbook will fit on your lap so from that standpoint it is a laptop.  From a performance standpoint. and size I question if it's going to fit into the business and professional world as a communication device or a portable work platform.  I'm a little late coming to this party and don't own a netbook because I prefer the ease of use of a laptop keyboard.  I also like to be able to use CD and DVD format for data input.

I think it's too early to tell if the netbook will be tough enough to withstand the rigors of travel abuse, and if the devices will be easily repairable. There is evidence a market in refurbished netbooks will develop.  The auction market is alive and a number are available on eBay Netbooksso from that standpoint the netbook is taking the typical product path.
